Welcome to the 2016-2017school year! I hope that you will enjoy the variety of sports, games, and fitness activities that we will be doing in Physical Education class. The key to success is being prepared! Have your uniform, shoes, and positive attitude ready to go so that you get the most fun out of all that we do in class.

Physical Education Course Description: Physical development and health is designed to introduce students to the concepts and movement skills needed to engage in health-enhancing physical activity. Knowledge of safety, rules, and skill techniques will be stressed as well as personal and social skills. Students will begin to apply the principles of training while they work to improve their personal level of physical fitness. A variety of health-related topics including personal care, human growth and development, and nutrition will be covered to provide students with a foundation to make wellness decisions.

Required Materials: Lisle School District physical education uniform shorts and t-shirt can be purchased at the school for a cost of $21 (shirt $9, shorts $12).  Athletic shoes are also required. Sweatshirts, light jackets, and sweat pants may be worn over uniform on days where class is held outside.

Get to know you activity. Linked here is a short Google survey that I use to get to know my students' interests. It helps me as I plan out our year together in PE. This survey is completely optional and you only need to answer the questions that interest you. https://docs.google.com/a/lisle202.org/forms/d/1QuRYRZ-seQ7feTnydaIgDNXUEDooXuNhl5nKowAWYQo/viewform
