Mr. Campian

Art Room 28

Welcome to the Art Room!  My name is Jim Campian and I have been teaching Art at Schiesher Elementary School since 2014!  I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2013 and am working on my Masters in Technology from Aurora University.  Over the summers I work at the Elmhurst Art Museum as a camp counselor for kids ages 5-11.

I truly love working with kids and am thrilled to take something that I am so passionate about and share it with the Lisle community!  I have been hard at work preparing my classroom and lessons to establish an exciting learning environment for all of my students!  My lessons are designed to challenge and engage kids in developing originality and a creative mindset.  I plan on reaching out to many different styles of learning by using a wide range of materials such as colored pencils, crayons, printing ink, tempera paint, yarn, scissors, glue, and clay.  Students will be exposed to The Elements & Principles of Design along with cultures and civilizations of the past and present as a major part of the art curriculum.

I will be reaching out to every student but I cannot do it alone!  I need as much support as I can get so I please encourage you to take part in your child’s learning, attend conferences, and explore the future art exhibitions!  If there are any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me by using the information below!  GO LIONS!!

Sincerely,

Mr. Jim Campian
