My name is Maureen Toby and I live in Naperville with my husband and family. My previous teaching experience was in Naperville District #203, and IPSD #204. I have four children, one with special needs. I earned my Master of Education Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Elmhurst College in 2008. I am a credentialed developmental therapist through the State of Illinois early intervention program specializing in birth-age 3 development. I have recently completed my English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement to my professional teaching license. There is a teaching assistant in my classroom, Mrs.Candace Lorkiewicz, who provides instructional support.
About Our Program
The pre-kindergarten at risk program services at-risk children ranging from 3-5 years old in the Lisle community. The program has one morning session from 8:45am-11:15am, and one afternoon session from 12:45-3:15pm. Transportation to and from the program is available at no cost.
Children must be screened by our district preschool team, meet certain requirements, and live within the Lisle School District boundaries to participate in the at-risk pre-kindergarten program.
Our Screening Process
The district has an ongoing early childhood screening process. Anytime you have concerns about your child's development, you may contact the district and request that an Ages and Stages questionnaire be mailed to your home. If you would like additional information on our screening process and/or would like to request a questionnaire please call Cheryl O'Sullivan at (630) 493-8008. Once you have completed and returned the questionnaire as directed, our staff early childhood professionals will review the information and notify you of the results and any other assessments that may need to be conducted.
